Crumb
New York psych-pop band Crumb return with AMAMA, their most carefree and open-hearted album to date. A soundscape full of playful and patchwork experimentation - glitchy pitch-shifted vocals, cell phone recordings, nautical blips, sax mouthpiece solos, blasted drum samples, and piano strings dampened with Silly Putty - AMAMA continues to deepen the band's hypnotic sound in a cohesive line back through 2021's Ice Melt, 2019's Jinx, and breakout EPs Locket and Crumb. Without a doubt, AMAMA is Crumb - singer and multi-instrumentalist Lila Ramani, keyboardist and saxophonist Bri Aronow, bassist Jesse Brotter, and drummer Jonathan Gilad - at their most animated.
Buoyed by Ramani's songwriting, at turns poetically abstract and directly confessional, AMAMA culls the strange encounters from Crumb's touring years, tracing the dizzying path of a group that's been in movement for nearly a decade. 'Crushxd' is an ecstatic requiem for a turtle flattened under the tires of a tour van; '(Alone in) Brussels' finds Ramani in forced isolation in a distant city. On 'The Bug,' we're at a pit stop in a seedy motel, where a critter's bite leaves a nagging feeling: 'It's always on my mind / it's just always on my mind,' Ramani repeats over a creeping groove as she wanders the place at night. On 'Side by Side,' perhaps the most candid track on AMAMA, frenetic percussion and disorienting, layered synth envelop Ramani as she considers the personal sacrifices she's made along the way.
Even as it explores transient stops and fraught encounters, AMAMA features some of Crumb's most vulnerable, tender searches for organic connection. 'Home is what I want and what I need,' Ramani sings on the clear-sighted opener, 'From Outside a Window Sill'-which samples a police radio scan about a flock of geese crossing a bridge in Gowanus, Brooklyn, where Ramani grew up. The title track, 'AMAMA,' is an upbeat and hopeful homage to Ramani's grandmother, her namesake, who sings in Malayalam in the opening sample. The two voices, Lila's and Leela's, separated by language and place, intertwine as if on a spotty long-distance call in what is the most direct love song of Crumb's repertoire. On the album's closer, 'XXX,' laden with distorted, industrial sounds, we finally find respite-a house shared between two lovers, a safe place. In the last moments, Ramani asks: 'Isn't this as good as it can get?'
AMAMA exists at the crossroads of psychedelia, pop, jazz, and rock, and cements Crumb as a band uniquely their own. Released independently on Crumb Records and produced alongside Johnscott Sanford and Jonathan Rado in Los Angeles, AMAMA is an incandescent statement about searching for solid ground, connection, and clarity in a life of nomadic upheaval.

Chokecherry
SF based band chokecherry is dark, black widow energy wrapped in the foil of our generation. Self-produced with a head rush of garage band sonics overlaid with a siren ensemble of layered vocal poise, "Glass Jaw" puts an original fingerprint on a historic scene. This being just their debut single, the song amassed over 1 millions streams on Spotify without a single editorial playlist. With their second single, "Around Around Around," the duo continued to show they are paving their own way with a fusion of influences including shoegaze, classic rock, and grunge. The duo is set to perform at a number of festivals in the U.S. this year, while working on new singles and a debut album.
Instant Crush

Altar Girl
Altar Girl is an empowered quartet of femme and trans musicians from Portland, Oregon. Their music combines elements of post-punk and grunge while paying homage to old-school goth and darkwave influences. The four-piece band began as a first-time collaborative songwriting effort between Kay Morrisette and Mara Vosien, who wanted to create something moody, lively and that speaks to their lived experiences. They were soon after joined by close friends Ariel Chamberlin on drums and Sam Mahon on bass. The band's sound combines Kay's wistful, vocal-heavy songwriting style with Mara's atmospheric guitar and driving punk rhythm. Woven into the anthemic melodies are ruminating lyrical themes of heartbreak, feminist issues, environmental collapse, and gender dysphoria. The rhythm section is galvanized by danceable back beats, propelling each song through a landscape of feral peaks and haunting valleys. They are preparing for the release of their first record Summer 2025.

Reckless Kelly, the powerhouse Outlaw Country band has been igniting stages with their electrifying fusion of rock and country music since their inception in 1996. Led by central Idaho natives Willy and Cody Braun, the brothers carry on a musical legacy spanning three generations.
Venturing from their Idaho roots, the Brauns made their mark in Austin, TX, twenty-nine years ago, teaming up with drummer Jay Nazz. Nazz's decision to join the band, just 5 credits shy of a college degree, marked the beginning of a journey that would forever alter Texas's musical landscape. Over nearly three decades, Reckless Kelly has not only become an integral part of the Americana music scene but has also earned prestigious accolades, including a coveted GRAMMY Award and the title of Outlaw Group of the Year at the 2024 Ameripolitan Awards. More recently, the iconic band has been nominated for Best Entertainer of The Year & Best Duo/Group of The Year in the 2025 Texas Music Chart Awards.
The band's impact extends far beyond their acclaimed recordings. Their annual festival, The Braun Brothers Reunion, recently celebrated its 40th Anniversary in 2024. The three-day event in Challis, Idaho, brings incredible artists to Cody and Willy's hometown and raises a significant amount of money for the local community. The 41st Annual Braun Brothers Reunion is set for August 2025, with many fans awaiting this years highly-anticipated lineup.
At the end of this year, the band will turn the page on a new chapter, stepping back from traditional touring. Members still plan to write, record, and release new music as Reckless Kelly during this hiatus. They will perform a handful of special live events while also focusing on exciting solo projects, visual art, record production, and management endeavors.
Lead singer Willy Braun offers insight into the band's decision, 'It's important to us that our fans know that we all still truly love playing with each other. At first glance, it looks like a full-scale ‘retirement,' and that's not exactly accurate. We'll still continue to record music and perform live on occasion, but after 30 years on the road, we are looking forward to pulling back the reins a bit, spending more time at home, and exploring our other interests.' His big brother Cody agrees, adding, 'The satisfaction of playing a great show to an enthusiastic audience is something that can't be duplicated. We are inviting fans to come out and celebrate with us on this tour as we move in this new direction.'
